Composition notebook Ipad cover

This is an AWESOME way to reuse an old composition notebook!

You will need -

  • A composition notebook
  • The plastic insert that the ipad came in
  • 2x elastic hair bands or 1x elastic hair band and 2x hair bobbles
  • Hot glue gun or super glue
  • Pen and ruler
  • Scissors

Remove the pages of the composition notebook- this is fairly easy to do as the are held in by string so you can just cut it with scissors.

Mark on the plastic insert the height of the composition notebook and draw all the way around.

Cut the top off of the plastic tray

and then cut off one side.
With the remaining 2 corners, cut (on the larger side) down to the line you drew so that the corner is removed.
Score along the line with scissors or a sharp knife (be careful not to cut all the way through) and bend them inwards. Cut off the edges that overlap.

Line up inside the composition notebook. Close it over to make sure it fits and test it out with the ipad as well before you glue anything! Glue with a glue gun or superglue when you are happy with the place.

hot glue one of the hair bands just right of the spine. Make sure to pull it firm before you do so, so that it will hold the ipad in well.
Do the same with the second hair band but this time glue it to the back of the notebook. This one will hold the book closed.

DO NOT put the ipad in UNTIL THE GLUE DRIES! haha- may seems obvious but you don't want any messy, gluey ipads!
